Nama Group launches National Campaign for Energy Conservation
Nama Group recently launched the (#Nama_Conservation) campaign throughsocial media as a first step to launching the campaign on a larger scale as itwill continue running till the end of August.
The campaign includes many associated events, such as spreading awareness messagesthrough social media during the holy month of Ramadan and organizing an Energy Conservationcompetition through the campaign’s hashtag (#Nama_Conservation).
Electricity distribution companies’ role will be organizing Energy ConservationLectures and workshops after the holy month of Ramadan is spreading the conceptof Energy Conservation in the community is one of Nama Group’s top priorities. Theselectures will focus on a large segment of consumers through Omani womenassociations and youth groupings and will include a number of competitions inwhich winners will win amazingprizes.
The campaign aims at promoting the concept of Energy Conservation and reducingEnergy consumption.
The outcomes of the campaign will be revealed at the beginning of nextSeptember. The consumption value of a number of consumers will be compared withlast year’s value in order to determine the effectiveness of the campaign in changingEnergy Conservation habits among consumers.
